A TRIPS began with a simple frustration: travel had become a checklist. More cities, more queues, more photographs of the backs of other people's heads. We wanted the opposite: fewer places, known completely.

So we chose nine. Nine cities and landscapes we return to season after season, where we know the riad owners and the ferry captains, the chef's first name and the hour the light turns gold. Every journey we sell is one we have walked ourselves, more than once, and would hand to our best friends without a caveat.

We are travel designers, not travel agents. The difference is a tailor versus a rack: everything is cut to you. The pace, the tables, the doors that open. You bring the curiosity. We bring the keys.
